I cannot begin to express the way I feel! I am so proud of my niece Bree. She is an awesome athlete! Where did it come from??? Our family? Seriously though- she has been given an unbelievable gift from God- and she's taken that gift and perfected it! Our family is so proud of ALL the person she is and Wee are cheering her on today as she does Ironman Japan! She is going to win...I can feel it! Go Bree Go- We love you and are cheering you on! As of 8:20 p.m. (eastern time) saturday time she is currently in 1st! We will continue to watch the computer for updates and keep her in our prayers! If you are reading this please say a prayer for her! Wish her the best- Send your love all the way to Japan- she may just need it at this very moment!

I dont know. I read on the internet that they have openings at the Y in Boynton but Im going to see about the local Y thats near my house. My friend whos the head of the palm beach said that they will have one opening for a beach lifeguard in October. Just like Bree, one slot, one opening, and super competitive...my, my...its all going to be down to the run...Im anxious too!!!! Bruce Steward can translate so he
will have a much faster update than Pat. Good night. Will be praying...ttyl...maybe tomorrow.

It was still a great race for Bree, only that Naomi was at her best today (she grazed her arm but still pushed on!). I did swim this morning. I started when Bree was 20 minutes into her swim, and I went non-stop for the first 2.4 miles (3,850 meters) in about 1hr 16mins. I can't compare with her 52 mins 52 secs, but at least it was good to be in the water for at least 30 minutes at the same time.
I don't know if it is strictly only one slot. Is that firmly set in concrete? Anyway, I hope Coach Paul had a contingency (backup) plan in place for her. Everyone wants to see Bree race at Kona. I hope Bree won't have too many hard races this year, but I guess that's life for a pro. In closing, I am seeing this race finish in the afternoon. It is good I'm not in Florida now!
